Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, 7 days that changed the world. Today in worship, we will remember Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, riding on the back of a lowly donkey. He was met by excited crowds, waving palm branches as they joyously shouted his name and praised God because they believed that Jesus had come to free them from the bonds of slavery under Roman rule. To them, he was "the King of the Jews."
There will be a children's palm processional during worship. Children wishing to participate should plan to arrive at church no later than 9:15 am. The worship service will also include Holy Communion. As a United Methodist Church, we practice an open communion table where all believers, of whatever faith or creed, are welcome.
We invite you to return throughout the week as we continue to walk beside Jesus throughout the very emotionally charged final days of his life and ministry.
