Dear Friend,

Welcome!  It is my pleasure and privilege to greet you on behalf of the congregation of Carrier Mills First United Methodist Church.  We are honored that you have taken the time to visit our website.  The doors at CMFUMC are open to all, so you will find that we are a faith community with a diverse group of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.  We are united in our love for our Creator God and our commitment to serve the hurting and broken, locally and around the globe, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We are a “come as you are” people who make no claims to be perfect.  Each of us is a spiritual work in progress.  Despite, or perhaps because of, our shortcomings and faults, we actively choose to continue to grow in our understanding of God’s love and will by attending weekly worship, deeply exploring Biblical truths, participating in faith studies, and taking part in mission and outreach projects.  When we stumble, we remain confident of our living God’s unconditional love, forgiving grace and supportive presence.  As a result, it is exciting to witness people’s lives being transformed, renewed and healed.

The men, women, teens and children of CMFUMC not only love our Creator with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strength, we also love our neighbors as ourselves.  For this reason, friendship-building fellowship events are also important in the life of the congregation.  We host a wide range of community oriented social and outreach activities throughout the year.  These events afford us a wonderful way to connect with our Carrier Mills – Stonefort neighbors, young and old.  Likewise, we would like to extend a warm invitation to you and/or your family members to participate in any of the church’s ministries and programs.

We sincerely believe that there is a place for you here and that God is waiting to welcome you home to His love.  Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or if there is a way we can be of service to you or your family.

Again, thank you for visiting the CMFUMC website.  We encourage you to explore it in more depth and hope that we will soon have the pleasure of greeting you in person when you join us in receiving the blessing of the transforming power of our gracious and loving God!

 In Christ,

Reverend Stan Irvin, Lead Minister
